Hi all..
You dont have to believe in GOD necessarily to comprehend the fact the killing fou food shows a great deal of disdain for GOD's animal kingdom,- the kingdom we as human beings were asked to be good stewards of.
We were told in Genesis 1: 29-30 that we were only to eat fruits and herbs, as were animals. I am not sure what changed but to me since that was GOD"s first commandment to us regarding food, I think we should heed its message dont you ? ;)
We now hear ( correct or not ) that:
http://abcnews.go.com/Technology/GlobalWarming/story?id=2723201
..is something we need to be concerned about and I say how ironic indeed it is if true that mankind has chosen to eat meat and disobey GOD and now stand to 'overheat' the very planet on which it was given life and for which billions of people worldwide think its ok to eat like beasts of prey instead of compassionate souls asked one simple thing from the GOD that gave us life, in that we act responsibly and compassionately and eat a healthy non-murderous diet.
I too was raised eating meat and potatoes and thought nothing of it at all. I latre in life met a friend whom offered me information and I was left to decide if it had merit in my life or not. It took a LOT of will power and decision making to come to the conclusion that I would eat a diet that did not require me to be a killer, and I see now that not only have I obeyed GOD's law but I have possibly also helped to save the very planet for which my very life is responsible for.
I hope people take a hard long look at this and decided to change to a vegetarian lifestyle immediately ; its not that hard to do and just look at the advantages it offers ;)
Someday if a major disater befalls us how many of you are going to be willing to kill just to survive I wonder...think about that next time you eat a piece of meat and breath and walk on Earth.
Thanks for listening.
